Past Fundraisers AND CHARITY WINE EVENTS

Supporting Save The Family Farms (STFF)

In July 2023, Cellar Angels hosted an online wine fundraiser supporting Save the Family Farms Napa Valley.

The Save the Family Farms Napa Valley (STFF) organization was created in 2017 to help small family farms survive for future generations. They started by working to make it easier for small producers in Napa County to get permits. In 2019, they officially became a non-profit organization. STFF collaborated with different departments and officials to develop a simpler permit application process specifically for small winemakers in Napa County, which they called the Micro-Winery Ordinance. This new process was supported by The Winegrowers of Napa Valley and the Napa Valley Vintners. Finally, on May 5, 2022, the Micro-Winery Ordinance was passed into law with a unanimous vote by the Board of Supervisors.

This fundraiser will help STFF reach the next goal. The executive team continues to work with state regulators and Napa County leadership to be the voice for Napa’s Micro-Producers. A micro-producer can be an owner-occupied grape grower, who grows grapes in Napa Valley, or one who buys their fruit from the Napa AVA and produces less than 5,000 gallons of wine a year. The primary directive of the STFF Executive team in 2023 is to be at the forefront of the new CA Road and Street Standards (RSS) to ensure density and intensity of each Micro-Winery application are considered as exceptions.

Supporting the Erie Family Health Centers

In June 2023, Cellar Angels hosted a Wine Pull at the Eriedescence 2023 Summer Party supporting Erie Family Health Centers. Event attendees blindly “pulled” 50 bottles of small batch wines from premium Napa Valley and Sonoma producers we work with. Participants also had a chance to join the Cellar Angels Wine Club with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Erie organization.

The event in total raised $197,000 for health education and patient programs, exceeding the $150,000 goal.

Erie Family Health Centers provide high quality medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to all in need, regardless of ability to pay. Motivated by the belief that healthcare is a human right, they provide high quality affordable care to support healthier people, families, and communities. Erie delivers holistic care to help every member of the family stay healthy and active from infancy through adulthood.

Supporting the Tyler Robinson Foundation

In September 2022, we were part of an amazing fundraising gala for the Tyler Robinson Foundation. Named after a courageous boy who lost his battle to cancer, the foundation was started by Tyler’s favorite band, Imagine Dragons and his family. We encourage you to take some time and watch this video to learn Tyler’s story and see the performance.

The Rise Up Gala, supported by great people including Shaquille O’Neill, Guy Fieri, Wayne Newton and more, raised over $3.5 million for pediatric cancer families. Imagine Dragons played a special set that allowed kids with cancer to forget about cancer and have fun, there was not one dry eye in the audience.

We’re humbled to share we contributed a live auction item – a private wine tasting event – which raised $30,000 for the charity thanks to the highest bid by Imagine Dragons’ drummer (and fellow wine aficionado) Daniel Platzman!

Supporting Folds of Honor

In August 2022, your love of rare wines from Napa and Sonoma afforded us the opportunity to help fundraise for Folds of Honor in Colorado!

Over $400,000 was raised at this event which will help sponsor 75+ scholarships for kids from military families. Winemaker Chad Angelo of Angelo Cellars joined us for a private wine dinner as part of this fundraiser.

We love being part of special events, contact [email protected] to host an event for a good cause today!

Supporting West Side Elementary

At Cellar Angels we believe in supporting all types of causes and communities, big and small. In June 2022 we are helping raise funds for West Side Elementary with Nalle Winery.

April Nalle only made 30 cases of the special 2021 Rosé of Old Vine Zinfandel for her daughter’s school to help fund the Arts and Garden programs for the 22/23 school year.

Are you familiar with Peptoc, a new hotline that gives you options for joy?

Dial 707-8PEPTOC, press 3 for a pep talk from kindergartners. So sweet!

The West Side arts program came up with it! It was featured on NPR and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

All proceeds benefited the school. Cellar Angels customers purchased 10 of the 30 available cases and made a difference.

Supporting World Central Kitchen

With a mission to support the efforts of World Central Kitchen, Cellar Angels is humbled to announce a new fundraising initiative for March, April and May, 2022. We will donate $50 to WCK for every new Library Club and Tasting Room Club member.

World Central Kitchen is led by celebrity Chef Jose Andrés, who partners with chefs, restaurants and volunteers around the world to feed and care for victims of all types of disasters. Learn about all current efforts of WCK on their Twitter or website.

Access to food should not be the main worry for anyone. Bringing volunteers together to provide a warm meal in hard times is something our team at Cellar Angels deeply cares about.
