The Same Kind Foundation is a 501 (c ) 3 charity that raises funds for homeless organizations in crisis across America. The Foundation is the emergency 911 call and fulfillment center for struggling homeless shelters who have non-budgeted emergency needs. The idea was birthed from the responses of thousands whose lives were impacted after reading SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME, published in 2006, a New York Times bestseller for three and one-half years or watching the SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME Paramount movie now on Netflix.
Millions of people every day are conflicted and unsure how to respond at the sight of a ragged hungry stranger who has gripped at their heart. A donation to Same Kind Foundation will help many of those who have found themselves in the ditches of life and in desperate need of a good Samaritan. Daily, the foundation receives requests from organizations and deserving individuals with legitimate, immediate needs that cannot be met without the support of outside funds.
