Winemaker Notes

Cuvée ’42 pays homage to our patriarch, J. Frank Cage, and his lasting legacy. In 1942, J. Cage designed and built the beautiful art deco styled Lamar Blvd. Bridge over Lady Bird Lake leading into downtown Austin, Texas. Austin has designated the bridge an Austin Landmark and it is a Registered Historic Place.

The bridge’s six art deco spandrels reflect in perfect symmetry upon the waters of Lady Bird Lake. Cuvée ’42 Pinot Noir demonstrates the same balance and artistry upon your palate.

Tasting Events

Proprietors Roger & Donna Beery join us live on SIP Virtual Wine Tasting & Education series to talk about this wine and starting a family wine business in your 50’s.

About the Winemaker(s)

Conch, our young winemaker, has over ten wine harvests under his belt, honing his craft at such notable California and international wineries as Hunnicutt, Kim Crawford, Gundlach Bundschu and Kosta Browne. Together with consulting winemaker Adam Lee of Siduri, we have developed the celebrated J. Cage style that is sought by wine enthusiasts across the country.
