Mountain fruit is lean with so much complexity. Pairing this wine with more sophisticated dishes will be a memorable meal. Hearty Cabernet Sauvignon is also a great match with aged hard cheeses.

About The Vineyard

Goosecross sources grapes from some of the most prestigious and exciting locations in Napa Valley; from the sloping vineyards of Howell Mountain, to the shores of San Pablo Bay in Carneros. This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the high slopes of Atlas Peak, where temperatures can be up to 10 degrees cooler than the valley floor. This ensures long, even ripening, yielding an elegantly textured and complex wine that ages incredibly well.

Winemaker Notes

“Our Summit Selection wines have been crafted to celebrate vineyard sites that push the boundaries of farming and winemaking. Single-vineyard sites especially, demand more dilligence in the vineyard and longer hours in the winery, We’re proud of all the wines we grow and compose; Summit Selection, we feel being one of our best. We hope you’ll enjoy raising a glass and sharing this special wine with friends and family.” – Vintner Christi Coors Ficeli

About the Winery
Goosecross Cellars
A quintessential boutique winery with its beginnings in the 1970s, the next chapter of Napa Valley's Goosecross Cellars – named for the pair of geese that made the estate their home – is now being written by CEO and Vintner, Christi Coors Ficeli. Exactly how does a gal from one of America’s foremost beer families end up making wine in Napa Valley? Simply put, Christi and her husband actually met while working at a winery (Gallo). They decided one day they wanted to live in Napa Valley full time, raise a family and be a part of the community with which they fell in love. And they did just that!
