ABOUT THE VINEYARD

“We’re excited to bring you our Napa Valley Selection wines. We support local independent grape growers who echo our farming philosophies and hands-on approach in the vineyard. Farming and winemaking is a handshake between the land and winery, vine and bottle. At the end of the day, we make wine to share and enjoy with you, our friends and family one glass at a time.” – Christi Coors Ficeli, Vintner

WINEMAKER NOTES

2018 was a perfect vintage from a weather standpoint. From May to August, temperatures in Napa were cooler than usual, but the fruit was exposed to plenty of sunshine, ripening the grapes slowly but fully. This helped gain more concentration of fruit character in the wine during fermentation. You can expect to see wines that are acidic, bright, and fresh, with promising aging potential.

Aged 15 months in older French oak

About the Winery
Goosecross Cellars
A quintessential boutique winery with its beginnings in the 1970s, the next chapter of Napa Valley's Goosecross Cellars – named for the pair of geese that made the estate their home – is now being written by CEO and Vintner, Christi Coors Ficeli. Exactly how does a gal from one of America’s foremost beer families end up making wine in Napa Valley? Simply put, Christi and her husband actually met while working at a winery (Gallo). They decided one day they wanted to live in Napa Valley full time, raise a family and be a part of the community with which they fell in love. And they did just that!
