About The Vineyard

Hallberg Vineyard is highly sought after for its Goldridge soil and marine influence that comes from its proximity to the coast. It is now the largest dry farmed vineyard in Sonoma County. Hallberg Vineyard has a deposit of clay loam underneath its Goldridge soil that allows the vines to dig deep into the earth for the water stored in the clay.

About the Winemaker(s)

Conch, our young winemaker, has over ten wine harvests under his belt, honing his craft at such notable California and international wineries as Hunnicutt, Kim Crawford, Gundlach Bundschu and Kosta Browne.

Along with consulting winemaker Adam Lee, J. Cage Cellars honors two generations with one passion. Their philosophy is traditional and non-interventionist and they believe winemaking begins in the vineyard, while sourcing from small family growers that are some of the most
respected in Sonoma County.
