Food Pairing Suggestions
Bubbles are one of the more versatile wines to pair with food. Kick off your happy hour with a sparkling wine aperitif - it works well with a range of appetizers from brie and Prosciutto to savory egg rolls. This fantastic sparkler will also pair beautifully with oysters, fried shrimp and Jamaican cuisine. We also love it with seared tuna and fried chicken! Try it with a dessert of fresh fruit for a lively finish to your meal.

About The Vineyard

The grapes for this offering come exclusively from the mineral rich, clay soils of the La Cruz Vineyard, on the west-facing slopes of the estate.

The ancient seabed of the San Pablo Bay is mineral rich, with clay soils that define this vineyard. Planted to chardonnay, pinot noir, syrah, viognier, and pinot gris, this is the heart of Keller Estate. Typical to this vineyard is a bright acidity and signature spice notes.

The Petaluma Gap AVA offers ideal terroir for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which both thrive in cooler climates. Because of this and the team’s dedication to excellent winemaking, the resulting wines from Keller Estate vineyards are consistently well-balanced, complex and elegant.

Winemakers: Julien Teichmann & Ana Keller

man in front of a tree

Julien grew up in Germany; he experimented with brewing but discovered the many facets of winemaking were more complex and exciting. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Viticulture and Enology in Germany, he traveled the world through intern positions, settling finally in the US. He describes his winemaking style as the “best of two worlds,” with a traditional” hands-off approach” and modern quality control stewardship. Julien’s holistic approach to farming and winemaking is aligned with Keller Estate’s passion and philosophy.

Since taking over the reins in 1998, Ana works to create wines that reflect a sense of place, while in harmony with the family’s approach to elegant, age-worthy, and food-friendly wines. In 2013 Ana joined the Petaluma Gap WineGrowers Alliance’s board and was instrumental in creating the Petaluma Gap American Viticultural Area (AVA) which was ultimately granted in 2018.

With her father's loving support, the Keller Estate is now in the hands of Ana Keller and is revered for producing premium wines from the famous Petaluma Gap.
