Of all the wines we make at Bravante Vineyards, the ‘Trio’ is the most favorite of both our staff and our visitors.
I refer to it as my Tuesday night wine. That’s a night with a casual dinner with friends at the BBQ, were maybe more than one bottle gets opened. The 2009 ‘Trio’ is a blend of the three varieties that we grow on Howell Mountain; Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. We create this blend to have a wine that is a little softer and approachable than our Howell Mountain varietals, but still have complexity and substance.
The blend of the 2009 ‘Trio’ is: Merlot 63%, Cab 33% and Cab Franc 4%. I know that this will upset our friends from France, but we do call this a Bordeaux blend. That sounds so much more exciting than a red table wine. Whatever you choose to call it, it is a great wine to enjoy this summer and for years to come.
We are very proud to partner up with Cellar Angels to offer this wine at a special discounted rate for their members. Bravante Vineyards 2009 ‘Trio’, Bordeaux-Style Blend, Napa Valley, CA at this price you can enjoy it on Tuesday night, and also serve it to your special dinner guests on Saturday nights.
If your travels take you to the Napa Valley soon, please try and stop by the winery to take our tour, and taste the entire line up of Bravante wines. We are up the hill from St Helena, and far from the craziness that Highway 29 can be. We are by appointment, but an appointment is easy to get. We hope you enjoy the 2009 Trio, and we look forward to seeing you up above the fog, on Howell Mountain.
