There is excitement in the air as Ceja Vineyards just broke ground on a long planned winery among their vines in the heart of Napa’s Carneros region. The winery will include a crushpad, barrel storage, tasting room, and wine library to serve the needs of the grapes. It will also include a commercial size kitchen with a hacienda-style patio to incorporate the love of food preparation that is deeply rooted in the Ceja Family. The state-of-the-art winery will be eco-friendly with solar panels and a water preservation system.
To appreciate the accomplishment above, it is necessary to understand the journey it took to get there. The Ceja Family originated in a small Mexican village a generation ago. Juanita and Pablo Ceja had many dreams that their children would have a better life with many opportunities. Pablo once told the children stories of “the most beautiful place on earth”.
