Thirteenth generation winemaker and distiller, Marko grew up in St. Helena in his father’s winery. After years of hard work in various positions within the winery Marko gained the knowledge to make world-class wines and spirits. He gained much of his knowledge from his father, Miles Karakasevic, a Master Distiller. His heritage, experience and passion give him the ability to do his ancestors justice by creating a final product that is a pleasure for all to enjoy. He is the winemaker and master distiller so the saying around the winery is “no root is safe from fermentation by Marko”.
