U.C. Davis graduates Keith Emerson and Brian Brown met while working together at the legendary, high-end Napa winery, Vineyard 29. The two partnered in 2005 to launch their new artisan wine endeavor, Emerson Brown Wines. Keith still maintains his current “day job” as winemaker at Vineyard 29 and has held the position for ten years. Prior to Vineyard 29 he honed his skills with stops at Cakebread Cellars, Gundlach Bundeschu, Palliser Estate in New Zealand, Gemstone and Robert Craig, among others. Brian’s experience is also impressive, having worked with Iron Horse Vineyards, Sailtage Wines in Australia, Napa Valley Wine Company, Trefethan Vineyards and most recently Round Pond. The addition of Stephanie DeMasi, who brings winery management and marketing experience to the table, rounds out a balanced team. Stephanie is a partner at Juslyn Vineyards and was honored with a Wine Spectator Restaurant Wine Award in 2006. As the winery grows and evolves, what remains the same is the commitment to exceptional wine everyone can enjoy.
