Just a few years ago the Viszlay family fulfilled their dream of owning a winery. John Viszlay uprooted his life and relocated to Russian River Valley where Viszlay Vineyards was born. A stunningly beautiful and thriving 10 acre vineyard, it is as diverse as it is picturesque, with 12 varietals grown on their property including Prosecco.
Viszlay Vineyards is much more than just a wholesome Midwest family making great California wine. They feel incredibly gracious and thankful for what they have and feel strongly about sharing with others less fortunate. Cellar Angels is just one of the efforts put forth by this big hearted family to give back to their community and others around the world. Recently they took part in a program called Vineyards to Villages, providing life saving, safe drinking water to communities in Kenya.
This is truly a family business. John, along with his children Abby and Tony are committed to making the best possible wine while maintaining a sustainable approach to preserve mother earth for future generations. A visit to Viszlay Vineyards, near Healdsburg, could find you on the patio among the vines sipping wine with John Viszlay.
