John Viszlay uprooted his life and relocated to Russian River Valley where Viszlay Vineyards was born. A stunningly beautiful and thriving 10 acre vineyard, it is as diverse as it is picturesque, with 12 varietals grown on their property including Prosecco.
This is truly a family business. John, along with his children Abby and Tony are committed to making the best possible wine while maintaining a sustainable approach to preserve mother earth for future generations.
The winery and guesthouse are nestled just feet away from the vines, providing a spectacular view of the hillside vineyards and Fitch Mountain.
A visit to Viszlay Vineyards could find you on the patio among the vines sipping wine with John Viszlay. The family offers several tasting experiences, including a vineyard walk allowing you to stroll through the vines and examine the differences in the varietals and sampling the wines. Guests may also book a wine and cheese pairing tasting, reserve/library tasting or a relaxed tasting at the bar.
Viszlay Vineyards is much more than just a wholesome Midwest family making great California wine. They feel incredibly gracious and thankful for what they have and feel strongly about sharing with others less fortunate. They took part in a program called Vineyards to Villages, providing life saving, safe drinking water to communities in Kenya.
